Hi all,
The temperature of the hot water taps is being controlled by the shower mixer even when the shower is turned off. People have mentioned before about fitting a non return valve but surely if the shower is turned off the position of the temperature control shouldn't make any difference to other taps. I can understand it if the shower was on but its not. Is this likely to be caused by the mixer seals being on their way out or is it just a case of that's how they work. Is it possible to change the seals in a mixer or is it just better to replace it? If I replace it is the width between the hot/cold inputs a standard distance and are the connection types the same as I can't get to the pipes to move them without ripping half the tiles/wall down?
Many thanks
Chris
