shower pump - 2 bar or 3 bar?

Hi,
My current (dead) shower pump is 2 bar and located 2 floors below the 2 showers it supplies. It gave a reasonable pressure in the shower but I would like more pressure. Will a 3 bar pump give me that? My plumber tells me that it won't make any difference.
