Hello,
I have a problem related to the tiling of a shower recess on a loft conversion that I am having built. The first problem is that one of the walls that has been tiled is a plastered wall housing a pocket door and is therefore subject to vibration of the door opening and closing and the general flexibility of such a wall. There is subsequently evidence of tiles not adhering properly to the plaster skim despite the tiling having only been up a couple of days and the shower is has not even been used yet. Please could someone advise what remedial should be taken i.e. removing all the tiles and starting again or should just the loose tiles be removed? Additionally should ply, or a lining, or tanking be put up first to strengthen the wall and make the enclosure fully waterproof?
Thanks
Mark
