Hello from a newbie on this forum - and to most things to do with heating & plumbing!

This forum is an amazingly good resource- many thanks to those who have given people like me the benefit of their knowledge, skills and experience. I feel like I've learned a lot.

We're having our old conventional boiler (Glowworm Ultimate) replaced with a combi. Our installer has recommended either a Baxi Duo-Tec 28HE or a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior.

My question is to do with perception I think, as much as figures and statistics.

We love our power shower. I know the pump will have no place in the new set-up and I would like some assurance that the shower will be a similar pressure with the new system.

The shower pump is a Salamander RSP50 - the label gives two flow rate figures '10 lpm @ 1.3 bar' and '20 lpm @ 1.2 bar'.

Can any of you experts tell me if the shower will feel about the same afterwards (the Baxi has a stated 11.5 lpm maximum flow). Or will we be disappointed?

Thank you

Thanks, Steve

Can you suggest a combi boiler that would give an approximately similar shower performance - if there is such a thing.

It depend of the pressure and, most importantly, flow rate on incoming cold main. You / the installer need to find out that first and come back to us.
