Hi all,
I've got a Sime combi boiler ("mk II super 105"), which intermittently goes into fault because the gas valve hasn't openned. If i give the side of the valve a few taps with a toffee hammer when it should be openning it all fires up nicely and runs for a few days no problems.
So, my question is, do i need to fit a new gas valve, or can i remove and repair my existing valve - i.e. clean & lubricate it..?
And, if indeed a new valve is required (a SIT Sigma 845), are they readily available?
Cheers
Kev.
