sky + Problem help

Right then I'v got a sky+ box (Thomson Model No. 127b146) and its out of warranty and is playing up.
The unit fails to record a program you setup in the planner.
If your watching the channel and start recording it works but if you turn over while recording it looses satellite signal

Can anyone help with this or suggest anything helpful?

You could phone up sky and say you want to cancel everything as your box is faulty so the package is no use to you and your going to NTL or someone else as there is a free box.
Then probably they will send an engineer out ( free of charge ) and prob just end up replacing your box to keep your custom.
Failing that you might get a replacement at a reduced rate.
You've just got to chance your arm with these mobs

That suspiciously sounds like only one singnal is working.

You may or maynot know that Sky+ has 2 Inputs from the Sat, It sounds like one is not working.

Check your singnal strength (you may need to go into the engeneer menus (Press [services] select system setup and press [enter] press [0] [1] and then [enter]))
