Smeg Dishwaser

Hi can anyone help we have a Smeg dishwasher Model DF 612 B Type 10054 i has thrown up a faulty code E6 can anyone advise as to what we need to do ie reset or engineer? any advise would be appreciated

E6 indicates a drain issue.
Check the filters, drain hose, & sink spigot for blockages. If that doesn't help check the pump impellor isn't jammed by a piece of broken glass or similar. The pump could also be defective.

I have checked the filters etc and will check the sink / drain pipe to se if blocked it does seem to go through to rinse cycle then drains but when it goes onto wash and the tablet drops out a couple of minutes after that the fault lights come on and it stops but only water left in is about an inch if that in the bottom of the sump under the filter?

The symptoms you just described don't tie up too well with an E6 error.
Try the reset procedure rocks posted in this thread & see if you still get the same error code up afterwards //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=216485
