Does anyone have experience of Smeg WDI/12C washer dryer machines?
The machine was supplied in a new build flat owned by a friend and is less than 2 years old. It has barely been used, the flat stood empty for a good while. The flat is now rented out and the tenant says the machine was smoking when used last.
They say "smoke" was coming from inside the drum and from the side of the machine when the drum was emptied. The machine had been used on the 40 degree wash cycle only, no dryer function was used.
It went through a rinse and spin cycle when we went to look at it with no problems (or smoke) The tenant says they have no missing laundry and there are no leaks they are aware of.
The drum turns freely and there are no unexpected noises when it is running, in fact it is very quiet when in use.
Any input would be appreciated.
