Set the machine on a 95 degree wash, put a reasonable amount of bleach in the tub[ no washing],then let it do that wash.Do this every three months and that will cure the problem

Is the outlet pipe from washer connected to the trap under your kitchen sink, if so it may be dirty water from your sink going in the washer, when you pull the plug in sink after washing up, most of water will run to the outside grid but depending on the position of waste pipe from washer some will go into the machine and as it's a small amount can't be seen inside it as it's below the inner (stainless steel) drum, causing smells. This is the most common fault I am called out to on washing machines smelling.
If this is so in your case, under the sink if you can get enough slack back into the cupboard, form the pipe into an upside down u shape as high up in the cupboard to the top of the sink you can, this usually cures the fault, if not you will need to fit a non-return valve in the trap adapter or better still provide a seperate stnd pipe arrangement for washing machine
