A friend is having a new kitchen fitted and where the sink is being fitted there is a mains socket about 150mm above the sink, right where the splash back tiles are going. Any suggestions on how to cover/blank this off. The cables are buried in the wall and cemeted over....lol

cheers

Do they come up or down?

If from below, smack a hole in the wall behind the cupboard, as low to the floor as possible, and join in a JB that can be accessed by removing the kick boards.

If from above, and a bunglow, why ask

If from above, and a house.....get the floor up.

Despite what many may recommend (through crimp, cover and tile)...this is not acceptable, as the wiring zone will 'disapear'.

thanks for the fast replys, would a blank plate be allowed this close to the sink?

Directly in front of the bowl and taps?
If so then it would need minimum protection of IPX4 due to its location.
