i have mice in the attic so i want to put one of the sonic plugs up there that drive the little blighters away.all i have in the attic at the moment are all the upstairs lighting circuits and a single switch light.is it possible to connect anything to one of the lighting cables to plug this thing in ?

Those mice things only use a tiny amount of power so you could use the lighting circuit to feed a single socket. Label the socket as "Not for general use" or something like that so you are not tempted to plug anything else into it when the mice b*gger off.

You might want to check the cables for damaged, they seem to have a taste for PVC :p

Atleast the same size as the rest of the cables. Probably 1.5mm² twin and earth.

You could fit a fused spur before the socket fused at 3A. This will make sure it can not be overloaded.
