I'm starting to draw up some plans for a new extension and would like to do it on the computer rather than a drawing board.

Can anyone recommend and free or reasonably cheap software to do this please ? I suppose that I could use Powerpoint at a pinch but there must be
packages available more suited to the task.

Thanks
Ron

this software is Free but you can pay extra to upgrade to a version with more features (Draft IT PLus) for about £20

this is money well spent, i used this to produce drawings for a structural engineer and also submitted and passed planning, save me about £400 compared to employing an architect!

don't forget to show you drawings to you localplanning officer, they will give you guidane of what is required if you are seeking a certificate of lawful development or full planning permission.
