Hello,

I have a small patch of garden that I want to be soil for planting stuff in, the soil is directly touching the kitchen wall (below the damp proof) is there anything I should do to keep the soil away from the wall of will it be ok? I suppose further down under the ground all the walls are touching the soil.

Thanks :D

The only thing that is likely to happen is mud being thrown up during a heavy shower.

So long as the ground level is 150mm below dpc then you have observed the recommended minimum.

Even at less than 6", water splashing off soil isnt going to be a major problem.

Nice one,

One last question while I have your company please?

How much top soil is needed? the soil at the moment is mixed with sharp sand and general flag laying stuff.

Thanks :D
