Hi,

had some work done and seemed reasonable standard - included new soil pipe connection to drian for ensuite to be installed - ensuite now in place and waste simply not going anywhere - should be connected upto an exsisting soil pipe underground but we have no idea how as they have concreted it all in and now they are 'elsewhere' when we try to get them back to sort it.
feel like we,ve been had big time - any suggestions other than digging it all out?

thanks in despair !

Is there no other internal waste pipe you could connect to?

Just done some digging - looks like the*****! have connected their soil pipe to a drainage pipe that has been blocked off in the past - fantastic!! think ive hired some cowboys... guess its now my problem..

this is the pipe run from the soil pipe end to a 'hole in the ground' the green marker shows where the pipe ends which is about 2ft from the chamber...almost comical incompetence - any advise on how we get our money back off them and get it done properly???

Any advise would be welcome thanks! -

trying to upload photo - believe me its worth a look -unbelievable

Building inspector was on site to view velux window that was installed in ensuite - according to the wife he took quick look at what the bodgers were doing ref the waste pipe and said since they were going into an exsiting chamber it didnt bother him... of course turns out they never connected up to the chamber - someone has said we should contact building control... not sure if that would now casue us more problems than we have already>?

Do you have any written details as to the work to be carried out or the actual works undertaken, does anything passed from them to you mention the sewer connection in any way?
Works undertaken by any bonna fide contractor come under "any reasonable assumption" but as you have said cowboys, how do you get satisfaction from any of them unless you have a sheriff...pinenot

yes have quotation that states work includes connection to mains sewer - think there can be no dispute as to what was agreed- actually i said 'cowboys' in haste- they were meant to be reputable company- have website etc and real phone numbers/address - its just since we connacted them with issue 2 days ago - they have gone very quiet - in this day and age there is no excuse for not responding to a problem...
