Hi,
I'm just about to have a oak plank floor (110mm) laid on to a screeded floor which has had marley tiles laid on top, I've removed the tiles but there is a residue of the adhesive still on the floor. So I need to know
1. Which is the best sealant to use to prepare the floor
2. Which is the best adhesive to use to lay the floor, my carpenter has suggested SikaBond T4 which he says is very quick drying and easy/less messy to use.

Any ideas?

Thanks

With the adhesive residue, is your underfloor still level?
Other option would be to install the wooden floor floating. Use a DPM and sound-insulation underlay first, glue the T&G's, presto!

PS Sikabond is good, but pretty expensive and might be a bit OTT for this
