Hi does anyone know the correct spark plug gap for a 2001 Fiesta Flight 1.3 Endura-E? The Haynes manual says Bosch HR 7 DCX 1.1mm but I just picked some champion 703 EON3 ones up from halfords and the gap of these is smaller than this. On sparkplugs.co.uk it reckons 1.0mm for champion? So at the moment a bit confused!

I think RS9PYP4 OE131 champion plugs are the ones I need. I'll have to return the EON3 champion ones to halfords, the gap on those is less than 1.0mm. Can someone just check this? Ta

Do you reckon iridium ones would make much difference and improvement in performance on such a small engine?

They might make a difference but not one that you'll notice, just fit ordinary plugs.

1mm i've always done them to.
Just a word of warning though, check the threaded section is the same length on the new ones as the old ones are. Ford supplied me with duratec plugs on the last one i done (even after giving them chassis number) which are longer. They make a mess of the valves when they hit them
