Standard coax or satellite coax?

Before I replace my floorboards I want to lay down a few coax cables ready for wiring up the ariel in the loft to the various upstairs TV's.

Can/should I use satellite quality cable rather than the cheaper coax stuff? I know that I will need some converter dongles along the way but I just need to make sure that there are no special reasons why a regular TV (well, containing Freeview encoder) cannot connect to a decent loft ariel using sat cable plus dongles.

Purpose is to ensure best signal quality. I believe that the sat stuff is more shielded.

You can get "quality" coax that is shielded, used as you say for digital reception, Maplins is one of many suppliers.

Install sat /digital grade .
It is perfectly ok for normal tv.
Yes it has better shielding, than normal coax.
