Steel Bath Tap holes both sides?

Does anyone know if steel baths can have tap holes drilled on either end or just the one end?

any way to know?

Sounds a daft idea.

Is this so that when sharing a bath neither feel that they have been given the tap end because you both have it?
Put one in the middle.
