Hello All,

New to the forum, and after advise. I have a structural engineer designing a small decking area for my garden, which is to be formed using as much cold formed material as possible.

The site is sloping, and so steel posts will be longer on the front than the back. The structure will be prefabricated, and will be bolted together and line/leveled on site.

Can you confirm how i should establish the top of concrete when i pour the pad foundations, as this is the crux of it. I will be drilling the top of concrete and fix the steel columns inc base plates with expanding bolts.

Puzzled and appreciate any advise.

Thanks,
Dan

Just build your form work to the correct height and level the concrete to the top of the form.
