Hi all,

I recently repainted my bathroom, so unscrewed the shaver socket to paint around it. I now wish to reattach, and am puzzled with how the screw attachment works. The screw is embedded in a pronged, double semi-circular piece of metal which is free standing from the socket casing. Presumably there is a way to reattach this to the socket casing. Does anyone know how?

Thanks for your help! I attach a photo.

That's very helpful. Thank you so much!

Do you know if the fixing is supposed to come loose or if it might have snapped off?

They can work loose - Often just need slotting back and the retaining taps bending/tapping back.

I managed to reattach it and rescrewed the fitting. Thanks very much for your help!

I never liked those kits RF - Assume we are talking about one of these?
