DIY strimmer line?
I'm fed up with the 2mm yellow plastic stuff snapping, the blade to trim it is missing from the guard as well..
so I'm going to but a brake cable from halfords and put that through the holes and cut it to length..
that shouldn't break should it..
sparks off the concrete fence posts are expencted though..
You'll be a fool if you do this. An even bigger fool considering you've been given the best advice which is not to do it.
A local gardener did a Heath Robinson job on an Echo strimmer once which involved the line cutting blade. He lost one eye and the bridge of his nose but hey, he was trying to get the job done and that's all that matters right?
