We have had to remove an old wooden floor which had concrete below it -which was coated by bitumen .In the concrete floor was some wooden batons .We have removed the wooden batons ,but we want to put down a new wooden floor. Is there any way we can screed over the bitumen?Or is there a damp proof product that can go over the bitumen -then we can put a screed over?

this is a really old post you have managed to find! Fair play for using the search button and looking around (most people dont ) But try starting a new thread so i can answer your question and then when other people are asking the same question like yourself, the answer will be there for them when they use the search button!
I could just answer your question here but the mods will look on it as you have hijacked someone else's post and we will still be missing the answer to your question if somebody did a search!
