Our toilet has just started to leak at the close couple join.
I have assumed it will be a new close couple rubber donut - or complete kit if it has rusted - that is needed, but as the toilet is an old symphonic, is that coupling different?
Don't want to take the loo apart on a bank holiday and find I need parts that wont be available for a week after ordering them - SWMBO would not be happy.
As a second point, the piping in the bathroom is very old rigid plastic. Any tips to make sure I don't shatter it when undoing the supply pipe? It's not been touched in at least 16 years.
Many thanks
