We moved into the bungalow from hell two years ago and we keep on discovering faults each week. The latest is the electric shower and they connected it into the hot water supply. What side should the cold tap be as the bath has it on the right and the sink has it on the left.

Thanks for the advice, do you know if this is a British Standard or best industry practice.

Thanks for the feedback, I would never have thought of Blind people but it makes clear sense. The kitchen and the bathroom sink are wrong but the bath and the en-suite are right.

we always used to fit hot on the left, but depending which way round the bath was we would fit the hot to the inside so that if kids touched a tap it would be the front one which would be cold and they wouldn't get burned

I have kids and always said you should on a bath have cold nearest(common sence) but it is hot to left cold to the right.....
Why am i thinking about clowns and jokers? (song somewhere)
