Hi all,
In summary I wish to install a large radiator in my downstairs kitchen, which currently doesn’t have one. For reasons I won’t go into, the flow and return pipes downstairs are a royal pain to get access to. However, in a room above the kitchen they are easily accessible.
My question is this: Would it be ok to tap into the flow and return upstairs and run the pipes down to the new radiator?
My amateur concern is that this could place an unintended strain on the system – with water being diverted downstairs and then back upstairs - to continue its original journey around the house.
All views much appreciated.
BTW my boiler is a Worcester gas combi and it is on the groundfloor.
