We have a sink in a utility room.
The taps have rarely been used for the past 4>5 years
Now the hot tap does not work at all and the cold tap is very slow.

Is the tap rescuable ?, or would it be best to fit a new tap

Thanks

Why have you posted this in electrics?

It's rare for a tap to just silt up and have a total blockage, could the taps be jammed up, as in locked off due to calcium build up?

Could you have turned off the taps via a stop cock or in line isolator / off screw somewhere along the pipe work?

Cheaps taps are available under £20 in screwfix, which if you haven't got the skill set to repair / fix the existing ones is a far more viable option.

Could be the washers have stuck to their seats, and maybe opening the taps has pulled the screws through the middle of the washers.
