Tarmac Parking

Thinking of getting some tarmac parking on our property. Had a quote. Its very expensive and I am prepared to pay for it but worried in case it all goes wrong. The guy gave a good sales talk.
How can I check him out? We are in leicester

He didn't live in a caravan or have an Oirish accent, did he.....
Look for an established company, word of mouth if possible, portfolio of previous work, commendations and so on and give us an idea of the work he would undertake (base for the tarmac, grade, retaining kerbs etc.)
Have you had any other quotations at all?

Ask to see previous jobs that are over 1 year old and speak to the householder to see if they have had any problems.
