My elderly neighbour has a small tear in his conservatory roof. The conservatory is upvc and was built over 20 years ago. Looks to me like its covered in roofing felt and it could be repaired with a patch of felt or maybe some special roofing tape. Any suggestions on how this could be fixed without calling in a roof specialist?

Not a roofer or anything like but I'd give it a bloody good clean and use a something like a scotchbrite pad to ensure it's clean and that the patch will stick.

Some kind of flashing band that's self adhesive might work, or maybe even something like a plate stuck down with mastic

Get a tin of acrypol and give it a brush over.
