Hi folks,
Ive been trawling the internet for info on how best to proceed re-tiling a bathroom over existing ceramic tiles. I have done part of the room which did not have tiles and was newly plastered using wickes water resistant tile adhesive and its turned out pretty good for my skill level.
The problem is now that the areas around the bath has existing tiles, which i attempted last night by priming with PVA before going at it (as advised by a plasterer), but the lot just seemed to keep slipping. Since checking some of these forums i see a lot of people saying PVA ain't a good idea but some saying yes, even to mix it with sand to get a good base.
If i shouldn't use PVA what should i use? I have been looking at getting a tub of BAL blue star which looks like it might be better (reading the spec anyway!) Do i need to prime the tiles at all when using this?
Help is much appreciated!
