Used to be things like this flogged at doors years ago. Essentially they were anti-cycling devices that stopped the boiler gas vaLve cycling. they were fitted between the boiler stat and the gas valve I recall.
Honeywell did something similar, but I believe they no longer make it.
The prevous device had problems with low return temperatures on non-condensing boilers. It seems wholly inappropriate for many modern modulating boilers, which have integral electronics to do the same thing cheaper and better. Of course, they'd never sell one for an inappropriate application, would they?
As been said been out for around 30 years and prob cost a whole 2 quid to make .
In the days of just plugging boilers in they where sold along with a room stat and randal 103 for up to 500 quid which was a lot of money back in early eighties.
Cant believe people are still falling for them at that price
