The new MOT document

It's another case of making life difficult as possible for the motorist, the advisory items shown are just that, but when it comes to sell the car, they have a negative effect on the would be purchaser. It's virtual blackmail to get the advisories done before you can attempt to sell the car, more business for rip off garages.

Hmm, not sure I agree with that. If you don't want to clear the advisories then don't. If you feel they are unjust then ask VOSA to re-inspect the vehicle.

Rip off garages will always exist no matter what MOT document or policy is in place. Change garage if you feel you have been done.

Of all the cars I have sold most had some sort of advisory and I don't think I have been asked once what it was for. Can't actually remember a buyer even looking at the cert.
