Thermocompact vu gb 182/1 e is not igniting.

The start up sequence is fine to the point where ti sparks but then shuts the howl system down.

Any ideas?

Hi yes the gas is on up to the gas valve.

The fan start, the pump runs and it sparking, but not igniting.

??

needs an rgi to check

electrode leads can break and arc inside the case aso the gas operator on these can go out of wack easily on the ignition pressure.

all can be checked by an rgi

as said if its a card meter make sure it says ON (been caught out there before)

I am a rgi all be it new, the electd leads r sparking fine, i thought that the gas valve has had it but wanted some more info before replacing it. any other ideas?

Cheers

If valve is getting power, these are 240v valves iirc, then its a fair bet its the GV.

If you put U tube / pressure guage on burner pressure test point and try to fire it, does the guage move?

So if you are an RGI, you should be posting trade questions in the CC restricted area of the forum when we can give you advice on gas aspects.

check the mi`s on how to set pressures on gas operator

it involves removing the copper pipes and ntc sensor lead
