Have my bricky starting on a ground floor build soon.

External - standard concrete blocks
Internal - What are the pro and con of using Thermolite v Fibolite ?

It would be a disadvantage if you used the one that did not comply with the required u-value for the wall
 
They’re both just lightweight aerated blocks made by different manufacturers. Nothing vastly different between them other than as woody says the effect on u-values

Fibolite are concrete aggregate. Thermolite are aerated concrete. Different blocks.

The one your designer specified, probably. Not the one the brickie likes best, or was on offer at the merchants.

But "better" is such a vague term.
