Thermostat overriding the programmer?

Ah I see sorry Matt - right with the front bit off the heating doesn't come on (there's also no power in the thermostat).

If you take the red out of 9, do you have power on the grey in 9, with the htg calling and off.

How would I test that doitall? Put the face of the programmer back on and take the red out of 9? What do I look out for?

Have you got a tester (multimeter)

The programmer would be back in place.

I was looking for power on the grey in 9 with the htg on and off.

Well putting the face back on I stupidly forgot to turn the power off so now it's gone anyway. Lets hope a new programmer sorts it. I'll let you know tomorrow.

So up to screwfix bright and early and got a replacement. All fitted and......

Thermostat only comes on when the programmer tells it to!!

Thanks a lot for all your help guys. Much appreciated.
