I recently had a new boiler installed along with 3 new radiators and 1 moved. The one which was moved fed with a thin ( 1.5cm ) plastic pipe whilst the rest of the system is off a decent thickness of copper.

Now it takes that radiator much longer to heat up than all the others and the bottom doesn't seem to be heating up properly...

Is this a problem with using plastic/ a thinner pipe or is it not even a problem at all?

15mm tube is the norm for feeds to individual rads.

However, its probably been connected back to the nearest other rad and may have an excessive load.

It may be acceptable with correct balancing of the system.

Any professional will rebalance when quoting for adding rads. If you just get a builder or the Polish then they are most unlikely to even know how to do it. You can try it yourself from the info in the FAQ if you like.

Like everything else it all depends!
