Hello all,

I am re-modeling my bathroom and have some questions regarding the toilet Flange.

I will be removing an old tile floor with a 1 inch thick mud be and replacing with ceramic tiles of 5/16. this is going to leave my toilet sitting a 1" to high. I plan on removing the old flange (cast iron) and replacing with either a Cast Iron Oatey Twist and Set or an Oatey 4" Cast Iron Compression flange.

My question is how much waste pipe will be sticking out of the floor and how would I be removing the unneeded length.

Can I use one of the retrofit flanges with out removing the excess waste pipe

Thank You
Mark
