Hi Chaps - Our toilet overflow is dripping very slowly.

On inspection inside the cistern, the ballcock (although it is up as far a it will go) is still letting a little drip more into the tank therefore the overflow is dripping also.

So I know why its doing it - my question is, do i need a new ballcock/syphon assembly thingy or is it a much simpler job then that.

Looking forward to you replies.

It's about 10 years old so relatively modern - just a bog standard (pardon the pun) handle flush thingy

just a new washer will do it. turn the water off, undo the large nut at the end of the arm. a black washer should be there. go and get a new one the same as yours and replace
