I've been looking at an overflowing toilet and can't for the life of me work out what the fault could be.
Tank fed toilet, with a new fluidmaster inlet valve fitted about two months back. Works absolutely fine for 99% of the time.
However on two occasions the owner has gone on holiday, turned of the main stop cock and come back to find the toilet overflowing.
The bit that has me scratching my head is that she has also been away a couple of times without turning off the main stop cock and not had an issue.
So are there any suggestions as to why a tank fed toilet would overflow when the mains was off (and it wasn't used for a few days)?
