an even better method would be to put the sink, hob, sockets and appliances in an enclosure with a closable panel that you could shut to hide it away so you didn't see them when they were not in use.
You could call the enclosure a "kitchen" and the panel a "door"

Hah... I can imagine the slider scraping off glutenous baked bean spillages and the odd super noodle.
And you just know that sooner or later you'll do it p****d and knock a half-full bottle of wine and a couple of glasses onto the floor.
Maybe Germans are too disciplined for that. Maybe it is verboten to be drunk in charge of a küchen.
I wonder if there's an isolator for it for parties?
Actually, none of the above would be problems - I think that island starts at £17K, so you wouldn't even be able to afford beans and pot noodles, let alone booze and parties.

I want one of those.....and i thought having a wine cooler was 'posh', i have never even had a tumble dryer or dishwasher until now (well soon, when the kitchen is installed)
