trickle vents

I have heard that the law regarding double glazing replace ment windows has changed.

There now hastobe trickle vents? There appears to be some kind of measurement for this
but I am not a techy. My neghbours have just hadwindows and the have large trickle vents
the whole width of each and every window.including every opening window.

Does anyone know what these measurements are ? is it for the room or window?

My windows are all different sizes and my room especially upstairs.
