Ive got some oak veneered doors to fit.
I understand if I use a circular saw I will get chipping of the veneer on the face.
Scoring the line with a stanley knife is an option but I wondered ....
If I clamp a strip of scrap ply onto the face of door, so the blade rips through the ply 1st before making contact with door ....
Will this avoid damaging the veneer below?
Note: It will be about 5mm off, I am aware a planer is an option but I always seem to get a squarer edge with a circular saw and guide batten.
