I have been suffering from lower pressure on a Gainsbourgh 965 electric Shower.
So I decided to change the shower head. Everything was going smoothly, pressure 100 times better until...... 3 mins in from using the new shower head the pressure drops and water starts firing out of the back of the shower!!!!
Reading the instructions I discover that the Pressure Release device has been fired, and I need to contact the Customer Service Dept. It also says that my warranty may now be invalidated!!!!!

Any suggestions anyone please?

fit a showerhead that is suitable for that shower.
not all showerheads are interchangable on electric showers etc like multi function showerheads restrict the flow to much and activate the prv.

Can I reset the PRD ? ? ? ?
Or is it new shower time????

Not sure on Gainsboro but Triton were a replaceable cartridge on inlet!!

Check out your MI !!

Manufacturers Instructions!!

The Instructions say I need to call Gainsbourgh! But they are just going to charge me for an engineer visit no doubt.
Does anybody know this make of shower and if I can reset/replace the PRD myself?

One of the disadvantage of buying a B&Q (or any other) shower head other than the original shower manufacturer's. Over the years I have changed many PRV's, all of which have been failed because the customer fitted a non-propritory shower head or hose. The usual comment made is "I'm not going to pay the price that the makers want for a new shower head/hose"

You pays your money, you takes your choice!

You could always take the head back to B&Q and tell them that it's wrecked your shower but I suspect there may be a disclaimer somewhere on the packaging.

Just still wondering if anybody knows how easy a job it would be to replace the PRD on a Gainsbourgh 965????
