Is there such a thing as a twin dp isolator switch?
I am just about to install a hob and built under dual cooker and would like just one plate with the two switches on it.
Thanks

No, but you could used a dual box with 2x 1G DP switch on, OR use grid switches.

Hello,

The 'dual'/'barrier' box idea is a good one I think.

(You may have difficulty in sourcing a adequately 'rated' gridswitch for the cooker  . ???)

True, grid switches are generally 20A maximum.

But, you can get 20A double ovens & hobs that are dual fuel fall within that figure, too.

This, snaffled from another forum.

Some time ago I 'phoned MK's technical line and asked about putting 20A grid switches on a 32A backed RFC and was told there was no problem as long as the load did not exceed 20A. Obviously this was verbal so, shall mail them tomorrow and try and get it in writing.

But, obviously, if your appliances exceed 20A, this is no use to you!
