If I have a 3 core supply cable, from a 5 amp mains source, to a point on a wall can it be wired through a double switch to two lights, so that each light is independant from the other. Thanks
I take it your 3-core cable consists of phase, neutral and earth? If so then you will need to have two outgoing cables to the lights. All neutrals go together at the switch point in a connector. All earths the same connected to the backbox if metal or switch. Phase supply goes into common linked across to the other common and the two outgoing phase conductors will connect to the L1's of the switches.
