hi ..if a jb is unaccessible (its above a extended kitchen sloping roof but about to be boarded up) can the cables still be connected in a jb and secured on joist or do they need to accesible..i was thinking of putting the cables into a dryline box then crimmping inside the box and covering with a blank plate.....is this allowed..if not what is the acceptable method...thanks.

that is an acceptable method but ugly. Why not use thru crimps? much neater
