can anyone recommend their preferred underfloor heating suppliers including of thermostats?

and/or fitters?

do any of you think that electric is better than water and, if so, why?

thermostats are the same as for normal ch, long discussions as to which and where
 
I prefer Unipipe, (for a wet system), good pipes that also stay in shape when you bend them.
I use them as well in central heating and hot and cold water installations.
Thermostats how ever I tend to stick to honeywell.

For a good fitter in your area, call the manufacturer, they'll have a list.

As for which is better between wet and electric, it depends on the situation.
If it's a small area, i.e. bathroom or kitchen, that is tiled, I recomend electric. Easy to control & quick response time.
If the area is larger and / or you don't have tiles on the floor, go for a wet system. Just don't do DIY it.

I have recently fitted 2 ufh using Uponor which i thought were very good kits,manifold comes with pump, stats etc.They were my 1st ufh jobs and found it very easy to fit.
