;) with a little spare cash i decided to replace the old dial stat for a modern digi, this sunvic is battery operated and needs no separate power, except for the switching.. The stat is connect to a worcester 24cdi and has lived together for 12yrs..maybe time to change the lot but hey times are hard.
the honeywell is connected :-
1 -red (suppose live)
2 -blue(guess neutral)
3 -black(??)
earth---green yellow

the sunivic has two batteries(aa)
terminal nc
terminal com
terminal no
no earth

the little book states

1live to to com
2heater/cooler in series with term no and neutral<----wheres neutral?
3replace cover

//www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=109206 says neutral no longer needed

so first attempt obvious whilst intoxicated i put live(red) to com and neutral to no.. this fused the internal 2amp fuse on the worc 24cdi
any ideas? i promise to do sober this time and i'll get some more fuses

cheers kenny

Earth (green/yellow) and Neutral (blue) are not required for this stat. Disconnect at both ends and make safe - e.g. wrap both ends in insulating tape.

:D cheers for prompt reply..
