CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE.
MY WIFE DECIDED TO MOVE THE BEDROOM FURNITURE AROUND WHILE I WAS AT WORK, SHE SAID THAT SHE HIT THE LIGHTSHADE AND BULB AND IT SPARKED AND BLEW ALSO SHE TRIPPED THE MCB IVE RESET THE MCB BUT ALL OF THE LIGHTS UPSTAIRS WILL NOT WORK.

She's damaged the cable, or pulled it loose, and if the light is the first one on the circuit then this will stop all the other ones from working.

With the power off you need to take down the light and/or take apart the ceiling rose to find out what is wrong and fix it.

You should familiarise yourself with how lighting circuits are wired - see For Reference for drawings.

Depending on how many wires have come loose you might need a multimeter to identify what is what.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this, then calling an electrician is your only alternative.
