I recently repressurised my pressure vessel as the boiler was not firing. Now the boiler works fine and so do my downstairs radiators but upstairs are stone cold. I have bled all the upstairs radiators but no improvement. I have tried switching off all the downstairs radiators to try and force the water upstairs.
When I did this a very loud clunking noise came from the boiler but radiators still cold. The boiler, which is a Vokera 28/96 Mynute, and the radiators are at least 10 years old. The water that is drained from the radiators is slightly brown but not black.
I thought it was maybe sludge but it happened suddenly and with all the upstairs radiators at once. Any suggestions/comments gratefully received.
