UPVC advice.

I have seen the word "composite" mentioned when looking at prices for UPVC front doors, is this type of door completely plastic or made from something else? Thanks.

Composite is completely different to PVC, composite doors are made with various materials, sometimes a foam inner core or slab, this them would have a timber edging around it, some composite doors are solid timber, both types would have a PVC or Grp face bonded onto it, hence the term composite ie made up of different materials
